A transport vessel and a logistics system

We include liquid CO₂ tank containers in our distribution scope where container handling and the proposed route make them appropriate. We coordinate the insulated pressure vessel, transport frame, transfer connections and documentation with the loading station and the destination terminal.

A container frame does not by itself establish approval for road, rail or sea transport. We identify the intended modes and countries at the proposal stage, then confirm the required vessel and transport documentation for the selected configuration.

Start with the route, then define the container

Selection pointWhat we establish with you
Transport routeOrigin, destination, road/rail/sea legs, terminal handling, carrier acceptance and expected delays.
PayloadRequired net CO₂ per trip, permitted filling quantity, tank tare and applicable gross-mass limits. Geometric volume is not the same as usable payload.
Vessel conditionsLoading temperature and pressure, expected transport conditions, required holding assessment and the approved vessel limits.
Frame and handlingContainer envelope, lifting and securing interfaces, chassis compatibility and terminal equipment.
Transfer systemLiquid and vapor connections, receiving conditions, transfer method, hose interfaces and the agreed transfer rate.
DocumentationApproved drawings, material and test records, applicable vessel/transport certificates and operating/inspection documents.

A documented configuration, followed by project confirmation

Our tank-container engineering archive includes a 20 m³ liquid CO₂ reference drawing with a stainless-steel inner vessel and a stated 2.2 MPa design pressure. We use it as a configuration reference, not a universal operating setting or a guarantee that one design is approved for every route. The drawing itself requires the final parameters to be confirmed in the formal design.

For your project, we confirm capacity, pressure basis, material, insulation, connections and approvals in the agreed specification. We also review the time between filling and unloading, including terminal waiting time. Journey duration and ambient conditions affect the thermal and pressure-management assessment.

Questions we resolve before quotation

  • Can one unit travel by road and sea? Potentially, where its design, documentation, carrier acceptance and route requirements support both modes. We verify those requirements for the proposed unit.
  • Does a tank container eliminate the receiving tank? The receiving facility still needs a defined inventory and transfer arrangement. We review whether the container serves only transport or an agreed temporary supply duty.
  • Can it load from our recovery plant? We match the plant storage and loading interface to the container’s approved conditions and connections.
