Singapore: dry-ice return-gas CO₂ recovery

Our Singapore project recovers CO₂ return gas from dry-ice production. We supplied equipment with installation guidance.

Recorded project scope

Our reference 93 lists the Singapore project in 2023 on a nominal 10,000 t/year basis, with equipment supply and installation guidance. The feed description is dry-ice CO₂. Its recorded food-grade specification is at least 99.998%, a design value rather than an independent test of installed performance.

Connecting production and recovery

A dry-ice line can generate a recoverable gaseous CO₂ stream. The useful recovery rate depends on the liquid supply, production schedule, collection pressure and the fraction of gas that meets the inlet specification. Gas collection and a buffer help coordinate a variable return stream with the downstream recovery equipment.

The installation photographs show the gas collection bag and compact process arrangement. They document the supplied equipment context without establishing measured throughput or energy consumption.

Questions for a comparable project

  • What are the dry-ice machines’ hourly liquid consumption and operating pattern?
  • Which return streams can be collected without air ingress or contamination?
  • How will buffer pressure, compressor loading and refrigeration respond to production stops?
  • What specification and release testing apply to the recovered product?

Supply interfaces and acceptance

Define collection piping, foundations, power, cooling, downstream liquid handling and site commissioning responsibilities before placing an order. Acceptance should identify the feed conditions, measurement points, operating duration and product test methods. Recoverable quantity and economics should be calculated from site data.
